It is not a good hotel. Location was not good. Room and staff service were ok. Food was very bad.

We drove from Bangalore to Edakkal hermitage. The road is good except for the last 100 metres which is very steep. The staff were very helpful in giving directions to the resort so we had no problem locating the place. The parking space is a bit cramped. We reached there late around 4 PM and were damn hungry. The staff were kind enough to get us some bread toast and coffee and didn't charge anything extra for the meal. We had booked one night in the tree house and 3 nights in the cottage Chauvet. The tree house was neatly maintained and had a great view. Only problem was the presence of monkeys. They were trying to get in by pushing open the mesh windows which were stuck to the wall using velcro. It would have been better if the windows were made of plastic/wire meshes and fixed to the walls. Due to some confusion, the cottage Chauvet was double booked and so we were allotted a new cottage on the second day and offered Chauvet cottage for the 3rd and 4th night. We found the n
