Superb

The room was clean and nice. The restaurant was excellent, though a tad expensive. Breakfast/Coffee service can be bit slow in the mornings. Hot water was problematic - they have one geyser for two rooms, so if somebody else uses up the water, you need to wait for half-an-hour for the water to heat up. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The desk staff was very helpful and forthcoming. The location is excellent - just next to the Forest Department's Eco-tourism office, and about 600m from the park entrance. Apart from the very minor drawbacks, we had a great stay - I would highly recommend Hotel Ambadi.

I was unhappy with the services provided by the hotel. Rooms were decent but hot water supply not there.Dining facility was pathetic as no body was entertaining us even the dining tables were not cleaned . Location wise the hotel is comfortable as it is very close to kumily village and also close to Periyar -

It's a reasonable hotel and price was quite low but room quality could have been better. Otherwise service and food facility was satisfactory. The location was also not bad either.

It is located in a nice place and looks great at first sight, but our room was not so good. The scenic beauty and the wild life experience was very relaxing and beautiful. The food is really good. Overall a nice place to stay.

Our room was not so great in looking, the interiors were not appealing. Also the room was sticking very badly. Even the t.v was small in size. The service provided by the staff was very slow. Altogether this is a below average property.

Good

Overpriced hotel in all aspect. Got in with my family for 1 night stay and not able to sleep till 3 AM due to some "DRINK AND DIRT PARTY" next room (horrifying). There are many other options available at same or less price at Kumily/Thekkady. Stay away from this hotel, not a good place for family stay.
