Good

First good things about this hotel. 1.Situated in a quiet place. 2.Near to the Kodai lake. 3.Small park for children to play. Thats it.. and I have more bad things to say.. 1. The room is terrible. The hot water is available only from 6 AM to 10 PM. This was not communicated. We came to know only after the sight seeing trip in the evening, when we wanted to get fresh. 2. No basic things like soap, water was not provided in the room. 3. The extra pillow provided was full of dirt. The room boy himself told to cover it with bed sheet as it was not looking clean. 4. Food. Be careful. I had to carry my 5 yr old daughter to the hospital, morning 1:00 AM, as she was vomiting terribly due to the food. Good thing was that the hotel boy was ready to come with us during the night to the hospital. 5. When I was trying to get some water to clean my car. The hotel manager told me not to use water from the hotel as there was water problem. All in all, next time I will look for a differ

The resort claims to be a 3 star rated. It is far from that. The location of the hotel is splendid, however, service and food is horrible. There is a restaurant which you would hardly vist as the furniture itself is a put-off. The bathrooms are newly altered and you can see cement filings here and there. The TV remote did not work! and overall cleanliness can significantly improve. They also charge an extra Rs 300 for a heater. You would expect a resort in a hill station to provide you this free of cost. The capacity of the water heater is very limited. You can get only half a bucket of water and you will be required to wait another half an hour for the water to heat up. The blankets were so thin that we could not resist the chill. The extra blankets that were given to us were not of the same quality. A little bit of rejig and the resort can be a tourist delight because the location is fabulous.

The location & ambience of the hotel is something that one would have imagined while planning for a hill station trip. Front desk is not that active but the support staffs are excellent. There is no travel desk available in the resort but you won't find it difficult to arrange one by yourself. I would recomment it if you are planning for more than 2 day trip to Kodaikanal & thats when you would realise the ambience & location of the hotel.

The resort is in a silent place. Rooms & services are ok. Restaurant is good. But it will take minimum 1/2 - 1 Hr to get any food & too expensice. Normal veg burger is Rs.165/-. Now you can guss how expensive is the food. My suggestion to all is that don't take kodai as an option when holidays are there. becaue we got stuck in traffic block minimum by 3 hrs

> Not much options on dining. Continental tastes very bad. South Indian was food was better > Water available in the bath is dirty. Tastes horrible if at all you put in your mouth. Better to carry some extra Bisleri's! They should have some option to purify the water. We were informed that hot water will be available from 6 to 10 both morning and evening but it's not practiced. One day we got hot water in our bath only by 8.30PM! > Room service was very slow. Every time we had to call up atleast twice to remind them about the order. > No heating system available. > Not worth for the money paid.

This was the worst experirence ever while staying in this hotel. There was no intercomm facility, electricity was almost out of order. It was quoted as three star, but i think the quality of sevice was below 1 star. I will not recommend anybody to stay in this hotel. Very less option for dinning as far as north indian food is concerned and that too was of very bad taste.

The resort is located near the famous Kodai Lake, Thats the first and last good thing about the resort. I had booked the executive class room for 2 nights and three days (27th to 29th), at the time of booking I had requested a late check out time. The day I checked in the Manager of the place "Mr Sathyanarayana the great" gave a honeymoon suite instead of the regular excuttive. But in this so called honeymoon suite the geyser was not working and neither the TV. And later when I asked him to shift me to a regular executive room, that time he told me everything is booked and kindly adjust. While checking IN only I has asked wether I have to pay any extra amount, that time he told not required. Now the day I had to checkout, at around 3PM, the manager told me that I have to pay for the extra 1 day (i.e 29th). And for that I have to pay the honeymoon suite tariff (which was almost 2 times the amount I had already paid for my 2 day stay). After a lot of argument he agreed on the one day ext

The place is too far from Munnar. The room had dark interiors, which I did not like. The room was stuffy, and smelled of dampness.

The Green Acres Resort is a good property next to the picturesque Kodai Lake with flowing lawns and lush green gardens and children's park. The stay was comfortable. Do not get overtly excited by the 'Super Deluxe' tag, the rooms are simple (not exactly * grade) but nice. The service was good but it's better to eat out considering the food quality. Another weird point - the 'Super Deluxe' rooms face the lawn but the lesser costly ones face the beautiful lake. If you are researching places to stay the 'Villa Retreat' overlooking the Valley may be a better bet for those more aesthetically inclined.
